We provide proofreading services for edited and scoped, turn-in-ready drafts.

We are happy to provide technical proofreading at no additional fee.

For large jobs, over 200 pages, we do ask of you to send it over in 50-100 page chunks, as this will help to decrease the cost for our clients.

If we are unable to proofread a job for you, we will let you know as soon as possible.

  • After confirming availability with us, please send us your transcript in PDF format, along with the due date. (Questions on how to submit a PDF? Look below.)
  • Fill out the Reporter’s Preference sheet (if you’re a new client) and submit it with the transcript.
  • Annotations will be made using red text and yellow highlighting via iAnnotate or GoodNotes.
  • On or before the deadline provided, we will return only the pages which have been annotated, unless you prefer otherwise. 

Each job is assigned a priority level:

  1. Standard (3+ business days) $0.40/page
  2. Rush (1-2 business days) $0.60/page
  3. Expedited (12-24 hours) $0.80/page
  4. Immediate (<12 hours) $1.00/page

Turnaround times refer to business days, Monday-Friday. Weekends & holidays are not included in turnaround times. If you have a job that needs to be completed during a non-business day, please contact us to see if we can make special arrangements.

As a token of appreciation for testing the waters with Apex, we will deduct 20% from the total cost of your first job, up to 50 pages! (All remaining pages will be charged at the normal rate.)

Please note: We do not accept any amount of “test” pages to be completed free of charge.

We appreciate your loyalty. To thank you, we will deduct $0.05/page (for a complete transcript) for every 5th job we proof for you, during a calendar month.

Word of mouth is the best referral! Refer Apex to another reporter and we will give you a 10% discount off of your next order, after your referral has paid their first invoice.

Jobs sent over after 5pm EST will be considered as received for the next business day. Please keep this in mind for rush jobs.

 

Fees listed are for 25 lines per page. For pages with 26+ lines, there will be an additional fee of $0.03/page assessed. For pages with less than 5 lines, you will not be assessed a fee.

 

Please note: I reserve the right to charge an additional $0.10/page on “messy” transcripts.  As a general guideline, I consider transcripts that have 75% or more pages that require corrections to be “messy”.

New Clients: Billed upon completion. Due upon receipt.

Returning Clients: Invoices submitted on the 1st & 15th. Due within 15 days of receipt.

Late Fees: 3% fee, per 30 day period, compounded monthly, with initial charge being assessed on the 1st day the invoice is due.

Payment Options: Paypal, Zelle, CashApp, & Venmo.

Converting to PDF can be a pest, but we want to help you get it converted quickly and easily.

  2. Follow the prompts to install.
  3. Inside your software, with a transcript open, select “Print.”
  4. Where you would normally select a printer to print on paper, click the drop-down menu or scroll through to locate CutePDF Writer, & select it.
  5. Click “Print.”
  6. You should be prompted to select where you want to save the file.
  7. Email the newly created PDF file, exactly the way you would on ASCII. It attaches to emails the same way.
